 Cast Your Cares on Christ! | Bible Time

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

This life is often plagued by battles and burdens. In the span of this life, we will experience many ups and downs, which will have us feeling a variety of emotions. However, we must remember that Christ promises us rest now and forever more by His Eternal Spirit. We often forget that we need the Lord. We often forget that we depend on the Lord. How can one make it through this life without help? We are born in dependence and we die in dependence, how can we think the rest of our life would or should be any different?

When we remember that the battles and burdens of this life are well fought with the power of Christ, it can help us change our outlook on our battles, burdens, and life as a whole. Oh Christian, do not neglect what your soul needs! Do not neglect the carrying of all things to the Lord in prayer! 

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry, Everything to God in prayer!
